Room Supervisors: SSLC Exam Centers  The role of examination hall invigilator is very important and important in order to conduct the examination in a transparent and orderly manner, without any examination malpractice in the examination center and to provide justice to the loyal and honest students.

1. Room invigilators are strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phones to examination centers.

2. Checking the rooms before students enter the rooms.

3. Ensuring that the information written on the black board of the room is correct.

4. Checking the admit card and student ID card and giving entry to the room and instructing all the students to be present in the examination room for the full duration of the examination.

5. Room invigilator to attend the examination center half an hour before the commencement of the examination.  To educate the students not to indulge in examination malpractices.

6. The room invigilator will collect the answer sheets assigned to the exam room and have the serial number respectively from the Chief Superintendent and proceed to the exam room along with the log book.

7. To check the candidates appearing for the examination for absence of photocopy/mobile phone/smart or digital watch (wrist) before entering the examination hall.  Female students are compulsorily checked by female room supervisors and male students are allowed inside by male room supervisors.

8. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited for candidates.  If the candidates take the mobile phone inside the examination room without the sight of the room invigilator and take a photo of the question paper and spread it through WhatsApp, the concerned examination room invigilator and the chief superintendent of the examination center will be held responsible.

9. There will be no separate examination centers for regular students and private candidates in the year 2024-25.  All categories of examinees (regular students, repeat school students, private candidates and repeat private candidates) will be allotted at common examination centers.  The question paper versions are explained in the table on page no: 15 to 17.

10. C.C.E.  School Candidates(RF), C.C.E.  Repeated School Candidates(RR), C.C.E.  Private Candidates (PF), and C.C.E.  For repeat Private Candidates (PR) they should check the admit card and the version question papers mentioned in the Central Nominee List and distribute the applicable question papers to the respective students.  It is important to be careful about this.

11. Before opening the envelopes of the question papers by the room invigilator, get signatures from the two candidates in the presence of all the room invigilators and invigilators and then open and distribute the question papers to the students.  The Chief Superintendent of the concerned examination center and the room invigilator will be held responsible if any malpractice occurs in the examination hall.

12. In case of distribution of question papers of more than one medium in the examination centre, the signature of two students and the room invigilator in the first examination room of the examination center as per rules (Minor languages ​​& Minor medium core subjects) should be instructed by the Chief Superintendent to take necessary action to distribute the question papers to the respective examination rooms.

13. Check quantity of question papers to ensure required number and then distribute to students.  In case of discrepancy, bring it to the attention of the Chief Superintendent immediately.

14. Room invigilator will distribute the sequentially numbered answer booklets to the students after the students are seated in the examination hall.

15. The room invigilator shall ensure that the student has written the registration number correctly, legibly, without any error in the allotted space in the answer sheet booklet.

16. As soon as the room supervisor rings the bell at 10.00 a.m., the question papers will be distributed to the students according to their registration numbers.

17. Mandatory acceptance of answer sheets and question papers from students who leave the examination hall before the final bell of the examination.
18. Room invigilator to compare and identify the photograph in Admit Card (AT) and Central Nominee List (CNR) with the candidate.  In case of any doubt in the identification of the candidate without matching the portrait, immediately bring it to the attention of the Chief Superintendent and take appropriate action.

19. To check and distribute the question paper of languages ​​and media to the respective students as mentioned in the admit card.  In case of wrong distribution, the concerned room supervisor will be held responsible and unilateral disciplinary action will be taken.

20. Checking the subject, date with the examination schedule before opening the envelope of the question paper.  After distributing the question papers to the students, the details of the absent students will be entered in the log book.

21. Room invigilator should pay attention to all the students without sitting in one place while writing the exam.  While the students are looking around and disturbing other students, the room supervisors are not aware and stand idly by which is aiding and abetting the misbehavior.  Disciplinary action will be taken against the room supervisor who behaves like this.

22. Room invigilators should not allow impersonation i.e. one candidate to write the examination in place of another candidate.  Such cases should be detected and criminal cases filed while identifying the candidates before the commencement of the examination.

23. Answer sheets with changed registration number will not be considered for evaluation.  Room supervisors should take care to prevent such cases from happening.  In case registration number is accidentally written wrongly and corrected, then it is mandatory to get it confirmed by the Chief Superintendent of the examination center and signed and sealed by the Chief Superintendent.

24. Candidates should be allowed to write only in blue or black ink pens in the answer sheet.  If the candidate finds it necessary to change the pens, he should bring it to the attention of the room supervisor and the room supervisor should put his signature on that part.  Pencil writing should not be allowed.  Answers written in pencil will not be considered for evaluation.  Pencil can only be used for drawing pictures.

25. It is observed during evaluation that candidates have torn the answer sheet or scribbled on the answers in the answer sheet or torn out the middle pages of the answer sheet, in such cases there will be delay in giving the results to the candidates.  So while getting the answer sheets from the candidates ensure that all the pages of the answer sheets are correct.

26. No person except authorized persons shall be allowed inside the examination hall during the examination.

27. It is compulsory for the candidate to be present in the examination room from the beginning of the examination till the end and write the examination.  In case the candidate wants to leave the examination hall, it is mandatory to stay in the examination hall till half an hour after the commencement of the examination and then collect the question paper and answer sheet from the candidate and send them out of the examination hall.  Once out of the examination hall, the candidate will not be allowed to re-enter the examination hall.

In current year two types of answer sheets i.e. 36 pages answer sheet for Mathematics subject and 24 pages answer sheet for all other subjects will be supplied by the board.  Accordingly, the answer sheets related to the respective subject will be distributed to the students on the day of the respective examination subjects.  In case the student wants an additional answer sheet, another answer sheet will be issued after ensuring that the student has completed the first answer sheet issued earlier.  No additional answer sheet shall be given unless the student completes the first answer sheet issued earlier.  Distribution of first answer sheets to candidates in serial number order.

1. In case the students have received an additional answer sheet, it is mandatory to mention the booklet number of the additional answer sheet in the First answer sheet booklet.  The room invigilator shall ensure that the additional answer sheet booklet number is entered by the student and the booklet number of the first answer sheet and the registration number of the student are compulsorily entered in the additional answer sheet.

2. It is mandatory to sign at the designated place in the answer sheet by the room invigilator at the examination center.  It has come to the notice of the board that some district room supervisors are not signing the answer sheet.  Any omission in such answer sheets will be made directly responsible to the concerned room invigilator and the Chief Superintendent of the examination centre.

3. Room invigilator to get the details in the proforma form completely in the examination room.  First answer booklet and additional answer booklet number must be mentioned in the proforma form.

4. Room invigilator to properly punch the first answer booklet and additional answer booklets and tie them securely with tag string.

5. The room invigilator shall get the signature in the signature column after the return of the answer sheet in the proforma form only after the student compulsorily writes the total page numbers of the first answer sheet booklet and the additional answer sheet booklets.

6. While entering the total number of pages used on the cover page of the First Answer Booklet, only the answered pages should be considered.

Eg: In the first answer booklet there are total 24 pages, out of which only 18 pages have been answered, write the number of pages used: 18 and cross out the remaining pages with a pen.

7. If an additional answer sheet has been supplemented with the first answer sheet booklet having a total of 24 pages and only two pages of the pages in the additional answer sheet have been answered, 24+2=26 will be considered while stating the total number of pages used.

8. The main responsibility of the room supervisor is to ensure that the registration number in the admit card of all the students in the room is written by the students in the prescribed place in the answer sheet and get the signature of CNR (CNR) and answer sheet distribution number without mistake.

9. It should be ensured that the registration number mentioned in the admit card, central shortlist and answer sheet are same and the room supervisor checks whether the answer sheet, central shortlist and booklet number mentioned in the proforma are same and the answer sheet is returned by the room supervisor.

10. After the end of the examination period the room invigilator while receiving the answer sheets from the candidates should take care to check that all the pages in the answer sheet of each student are returned.

11. Signature of students should be obtained at the time of return of answer sheets.

12. Students should take the answer sheets and not leave the room for any reason.  If such cases occur, the room supervisor will be held responsible.

13. Page No: 6 and 7 in Order No. 56 and 57 describes the disciplinary action taken by the Board and imposition of penalty in case of irregularities in the examination center.  Keeping this in mind, be careful not to do any kind of malpractices in the examination centre.
